He holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Gulf Medical University in the UAE, an MBA, and a (PhD) Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Atlantic International University in the USA. His advanced training includes fellowships in Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Manual Therapy, and he is certified in Therapeutic Exercises.

Idris has further specialized in pain management, earning a Graduate Certificate from the University of Alberta, Canada, Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR), Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. He also holds a Neuroplasticity Diploma and has completed the Pain Management Practitioner Program in the United Kingdom. Idris has participated in Explain Pain courses with the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute in Australia and has completed courses in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.
